Yes — domestic pets are welcome on our trains. You can travel with up to two pets, whether that’s a dog, cat, tortoise or another small companion.
Do my pets need to be in a carrier?
Pets must be either:
on a lead, or
in a secure travel cage
This helps keep everyone safe and comfortable during the journey.
Are pets allowed on replacement rail transport?
Generally, no. When replacement buses or road transport are in use, pets cannot be carried, except for Guide Dogs, which are always permitted.
